FULCORINA
Located in an historical building in the center of Milan, this apartment was composed of wide rooms overlooking the inner courtyard. A new mezzanine divides vertically the interior space, leaving a full-height portion by the imposing windows and making the entire space articulate and dynamic.
New glass partitions allows the sun light to illuminate all the environments; even the bathroom located at the mezzanine, receives natural light from the bathroom window below, through the glass wall of the shower.
The double height of the living room has been underlined by the presence of three hanging lighting elements that enhance the spatial continuity with the mezzanine floor.
The existing and unique cement tiles of the entrance floor, as well as the portion of the existing oak-wood flooring of the living, have been restored, while we chose to use a new dove-coloured resin floor for the kitchen and the bathrooms, and a brushed oak-wood flooring for the mezzanine.
The custom furnitures that we designed for the entrance and the kitchen are well integrated with the shade of colors of the flooring.
